Poetry is one of the best ways to express a feeling, a thought, a dream, an action. Personally I like to make up a haiku about anything on the spot. 5, 7, 5. It’s one thing to think outside the box, but what about maximizing to the limits of the box?
Other Fun Haikus
How long will it take
To know when I am ready
For everything?
For whom the bell tolls
We hold patience and vigor
The call of the void.
A series of haikus about the seasons
Mùa đông, xuân, hè, thu
Frigid arms hold me
Dreary weather haunts my soul
This will soon pass by.
Flowers greeting rain
Open arms through broken clouds
A fresh breath of air.
Clouds scamper away
Warm rays caress my soft skin
My soul, energized.
Sky covered once more
And cold knocking at the door
Wants to come and play.
Winter is Here
The cold envelops the still night
Needles piercing into my soul
The last of the birds took their flight
Winter is near, taking its toll.
Darkness comes sooner each day
Plants furled up will wait and they hide
Children outdoors, no longer play
All living things retreat inside.
And I stare into the fire
A blanket holds me head to toe
The warmth and dark make me tire
As I finish my hot cocoa.
Although winter is here today
Spring is just around the corner
And at Grandma’s house I shall stay
With all her love I adorn her.
A little bit of a one off here...
The Bench
The day of rest, his week begins
Time is such a fickle event
Plaguing moments, it never lends
Holding heavier than cement.
Throughout those days he sometimes finds
Lending a hand to feline friends
Eases the soul and calms the mind
Helping these poor folk never ends.
And through the source of knowledge still
He studies so that he grows more
And continue so just until
Time evades him, and is no more.
From the bench, he looks at the pond
Nature is such a good mother
Memories of this place are fond
Can he still bring joy to others?
Poem type today... Acrostic Associations (write lines using the first letter of the word(s))
Cunning little critters
Attacking lasers and toys
Taking time in their litter
Seeking petting joys.
Waterfall
Mostly frozen over
Yet somehow alive
The water still trickled
Calm sounds as a bee hive.
The moss on her face
Shows me the way home
Somehow I felt
Accompanied, but alone.
My thoughts run rampant
And to them I will tend
What I miss having
Is a wonderful friend.
Just to start, I was inspired with this one, and still I’m inspired today.

Imagination
Endless possibilities
Come on the journey.
Let’s get a fun one for today…
Wild at the heart
Chaos and order soothes us
We’re all a bit Mad.
